J. Schmalz GmbH, from Glatten in Germany’s Black Forest region, passed the extensive audit for initial certification of its energy management according to DIN EN ISO 50001 with flying colors. This makes Schmalz one of the first to undergo certification based on the guidelines, which were only introduced in 2012. The company was also recertified according to DIN EN ISO 9001 for its quality management and 14001 for its environmental management.

The employees of J. Schmalz GmbH in Glatten had every reason to celebrate. The reason: they work for one of “Germany’s Best Employers 2012.” This has been published in a ranking by the “Great Place to Work Institute Deutschland”.

In June 2011, the vacuum specialist J.Schmalz was awarded for its "Pick-by-Shutter" assembly workstation. This workstation is used to assemble ejectors from individual components. This particularly innovative solution leads to sustainable improvements in efficiency and working conditions.
