Flat Suction Pads Make Precise Handling in Press Feeders Possible

A complete press feeder SPEED SHUTTLE of Fibro with the vacuum spider mounted on it. An important requirement on the feeder and also on the vacuum gripper is that the metal sheets must remain in the specified position during transport.

The basis of the vacuum spider for the feeder is a system of crossbeams made from aluminium sections. Each of the two arms carries two special sheet-metal suction pads of the type SAF.

In order to compensate for varying stack heights and possible deformation of the sheets, the 11 special suction pads SAF are mounted on spring plungers. The vacuum is generated by two high-performance ejectors of the SEB series, which are mounted on the feeder system (not on the crossbeams of the spider).
