The Schwarzwälder Textilwerke (STW) company is a family business in its third generation. The company is located in Schenkenzell, Germany where they have manufactured fibrous fillers and short-cut fibers for over 50 years. The produced fibrous materials are mainly used for reinforcing and thixotropicizing technical products, such as plastics, plasters, adhesives, spackling compounds, bitumen products, and for some applications in the automobile industry.

Special machines are used in the production to fill the fibrous materials into bags. After this was done, they used to have to place the heavy sacks (weighing as much as 30 kg) into boxes by hand. Because of the large quantity of fibrous materials that were produced each day, this work was particularly hard on the employees and affected their health.

The vacuum tube lifter JumboSprint 45 is designed to carry maximum loads of 45 kg and enables you to quickly lift the bags and deposit them into boxes. The sack gripper makes it easy to pick up the bags. “Pressing” the handle causes the vacuum tube lifter JumboSprint to lower the load. “Raising” the handle will lift the load. The vacuum tube lifter JumboSprint is particularly suited for precise, delicate handling of heavy and unwieldy loads. An interesting aspect of the STW application is their use of a 350-mm-long SZV tube-cylinder extension, which makes it possible to reach deep into tall boxes and simplifies the employees’ work. In combination with an aluminum crane system SRA, this solution is especially flexible and lightens the employees’ load immensely.
