The Röben company is based in Bannberscheid, Germany and is one of Germany’s largest private ceramic companies. The company manufactures various types of clinker bricks, clay roofing tiles, and thermal bricks, and has operated the most modern clinker plant in Europe since 2009.

Within the production, the stone storage area for the automated kiln cars has to be repaired and replaced from time to time. The job of moving stones that weigh as much as 50 kg used to be done by hand. Their primary request of the Schmalz company was to facilitate this task, in order to improve work safety and protect the employees’ health.

In combination with the aluminum crane system SRA, the vacuum tube lifter JumboErgo 85 provides the ideal solution for lifting stones horizontally from kiln cars and moving them. The ergonomic transport of stones weighing up to 50 kg is handled by one person, who can take care of all operations using the operator handle on the vacuum tube lifter. The vacuum tube lifter JumboErgo is equipped with a quadruple suction pad that can be easily adjusted for the various types of stones, thereby ensuring work safety. A venting unit on the vacuum tube lifter also makes it much easier to release the workpiece, which greatly increases the customer value.
