Döpfner Betriebs GmbH & Co. KG, based in Gerolzhofen, Germany, has been operating as a family business for over 100 years. The product range comprises timber windows and front doors, wood-aluminum windows and front doors, and windows for passive houses. As the firm has gradually expanded onto the global market, it has always maintained clear ecological positioning.

Various logistical methods are used as windows are produced in the 9,000 m² production area. These windows and glass sheets weigh over 300 kg, depending on the window size. The company hoped to make this strenuous physical work easier through the use of a Schmalz vacuum lifting device.

The two vacuum lifting devices VacuMaster Window, for maximum loads of 380 kg and 250 kg, make handling glass plates and windows much easier. The workpieces can be turned 90° to the left and to the right with the lifting device. The intelligent arrangement of the suction pads even allows the handling of multi-sash windows. Thanks to the ergonomic operation of the lifting device and its low weight, work can always be performed easily.
