- Handling of wooden sheets and furniture parts with the vacuum lifting device VacuMaster RE
The Wackenhut company is based in Altensteig, Germany and has established itself in the field of bedroom design. Various types of wood, glass, and mirrors are used to manufacture and market innovative bedroom designs. The Wackenhut company's primary aim is to achieve a premium quality product using environmentally friendly production methods.
Loading wooden sheets and furniture parts onto a CNC machine center required a large number of personnel. At least two people were needed to carry the sheets (weighing between 40 and 100 kg) to the machine center. They needed a way to accomplish this task with fewer personnel and protect the employees' health. The purchase of a new CNC machine center accelerated their decision to purchase a vacuum lifting device.
They were immediately impressed by the ease of use and compact design of the vacuum lifting device VacuMaster RE. Thanks to its slim design, the vacuum lifting device VacuMaster RE can be used in a variety of ways – for example, to remove boards from cantilever racks. The vacuum lifting device lifts wooden sheets and furniture parts up to a maximum load of 250 kg. The handling system can be operated by one person alone, which helps reduce personnel costs considerably.
This ergonomic and practical handling system is completed by an aluminum column-mounted slewing crane SK, which can swivel up to 270 degrees. The solution from Schmalz fulfilled all of their requirements.
