Efficient palletizing/depalletizing of various packaging
The Vacuum layer gripper SPZ-M-C enables the automated handling of a variety of packaging material with just one gripper.
The innovative skirt concept generates a global vacuum suction chamber for safe gripping of whole product layers with different layer patterns. In combination with the mechanical clamping, products which previously had to be handled manually can now be moved automatically.

Safe handling of solar cells and wafers
The wafer gripper SWG provides extremely quick, precise and safe handling of solar cells and wafers in all processing steps. These are in particular unstacking, buffering and bifurcation of the wafers as well as fixation and exact positioning in the visual inspection process.
Due to the innovative, all-over gripping concept the Schmalz wafer gripper achieves minimum cycle times of less than a second.

Inauguration of the new production facility
Schmalz has begun operations at the new production facility at the company headquarters in Glatten. The new building combines ecological thinking with modern technology.
With an additional area of 13.770 sqm Schmalz has doubled the existing production area and thereby united all production, assembly and internal logistics areas in one continuous area.
