Mounting elements

Schmalz offers a wide range of mounting elements which permit many alternative ways of integrating suction pads and grippers to form a gripper system.

The mounting elements are divided into the following groups:

• Sections, cross-beams and connectors


• Holders and adapters


• Spring plungers


• Flexible mountings

Sections, cross-beams and connectors

These are used to construct the basic framework of a vacuum gripper system. In order to reduce the
number of hoses needed, the sections can also be used as vacuum ducts and distributors.

Holders and adapters

These are used to connect the suction pads to the framework or cross-beam. Many different versions are available for
mounting on aluminum sections or on square or round tubes.

Spring plunger

These are used wherever it is necessary to compensate for workpieces of varying heights. They can also be used to place the suction pads carefully on easily-damaged workpieces.

Flexible mountings

The Flexolink FLK and the ball joint KGL can flex in all directions to allow the suction pad to adapt itself better
to sloping or curved workpieces.
