Energy Efficiency
Schmalz offers energy-efficient vacuum technology that can also significantly reduce CO2 emissions.
With its initiative for energy-efficient vacuum technology, Schmalz shows that economy and environment can go hand in hand. As part of this initiative, energy-efficient vacuum components, vacuum units and vacuum controllers from Schmalz are compared with similar systems from other manufacturers. This comparison showed that by using Schmalz vacuum technology, the user was able to reduce energy consumption and optimise work processes. The user can also preserve resources and protect the environment. The FXC-HD vacuum large-area gripping system, the VAGG vacuum unit, the SRC wireless remote control and the SMPi vacuum ejector were tested.
SMPi/SCPi Vacuum Ejector
The integrated energy saving function interrupts vacuum generation as soon as a safe vacuum value has been reached. Vacuum generation is switched back on only once the value exceeds the preset minimum vacuum value. This means that in comparison to a conventional vacuum ejector, the SMPi vacuum ejector consumes far less compressed air.
VAGG Vacuum Unit
Unlike the conventional vacuum generator, which runs throughout the entire clamping/milling process, continuing to consume energy, the VAGG vacuum unit's integrated energy-saving regulation enables the user to save an enormous amount of energy. This system interrupts vacuum generation once a particular vacuum value has been reached. Vacuum generation is switched back on only when this value exceeds the preset minimum vacuum value.
FXC-HD Large-Area Gripping System
The FXC-HD large-area gripping system has a small main body with a small evacuation volume. Because the chambers for the suction and blow-off functions are separate, items can be set down quickly, using less power.
SRC Wireless Remote Control
In the area of vacuum controllers, the SRC wireless remote control was tested for its use with vacuum tube lifter units. When using a conventional lifting unit for a period of one hour, the blower stays switched on continuous operation the entire time. In comparison, the tube lifter unit equipped with the SRC wireless remote control ran for only 36 minutes.
